n敍述用第三人稱（被動語態），不得用第一人稱作主語。

n文摘儘量簡單，不用長句，儘量用簡單句：

  -  at 250o C - 300o C

n用事實開頭，避免用從句開頭；用過去時敍述工作，用現在時態說明作者結論
  -  The corresponding changes was detected …
  -  The pointing accuracy  is 0.1 arc-seconds.

n不宜使用口語省略式詞 does’nt, should’nt 等

n不用不常見的辭彙，主語與動詞應儘量靠近

n可用動詞的情況不要用動詞的名詞形式，如
  -  “Thickness of plastic sheets was measured ”
  -  “Measurement of thickness of plastic sheet was made.”

n注意冠詞用法，a 是泛指，the是專指
  -  “Pressure is a function of temperature.”
  -  “Pressure is a function of the temperature.”
